Premier League 2026/27 Season Preview: Our Predicted Final Table

The Premier League is back, and before the 2026/27 season gets under way, Oddsfactory is putting its cards on the table.

We have ranked all 20 clubs from first to last, assessing where we believe every team will finish once the final ball has been kicked in May. Over the course of our individual club previews, we will take a closer look at each squad, the summer transfer business, the biggest strengths and weaknesses, key players and the questions that could define their season.

At the very top, we are backing Arsenal to win the Premier League, ahead of Manchester City. Manchester United complete our predicted top three, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa following closely behind.

Further down, we expect a congested battle involving Newcastle, Bournemouth, Brighton and Tottenham, while several established Premier League clubs could find themselves looking nervously over their shoulders.

At the bottom, our prediction is particularly unforgiving for the promoted sides. We have Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City occupying the three relegation places, with Leeds United surviving in 17th.

Arsenal to finally finish on top?

Our biggest call is at number one. We are backing Arsenal to finish ahead of Manchester City and finally turn their sustained challenge at the top of the Premier League into a title-winning season.

City remain our closest challengers and are impossible to dismiss from any title conversation, while Manchester United are our pick to make a significant push forward and finish third.

Chelsea come fourth, with Liverpool fifth. Aston Villa complete our predicted top six and should once again be involved towards the European places.

There is very little room for error among the leading clubs. The difference between fighting for the title, qualifying for the Champions League and finding yourself several places further down could come down to injuries, transfer business and a handful of decisive matches.

A fiercely competitive upper half

Behind our predicted top six, the table becomes particularly difficult to call. We have Newcastle United seventh, followed by Bournemouth in eighth and Brighton & Hove Albion ninth. Tottenham complete the top half in 10th.

Perhaps the most striking inclusion is Bournemouth. We believe they have enough to remain firmly in the upper-half conversation rather than simply being satisfied with another comfortable season.

Newcastle will expect to challenge higher than seventh, while Tottenham are another club capable of making our prediction look overly pessimistic if everything comes together.

Sunderland lead the middle pack

We have Sunderland in 11th, which would represent another strong Premier League campaign, followed by Everton, Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Crystal Palace.

That section of the table could be incredibly tight. The difference between 11th and 16th may ultimately be relatively small, and those clubs should all have enough quality to stay away from serious relegation trouble if they perform close to their potential.

At the same time, a poor start can change the complexion of a Premier League season very quickly. Clubs expected to finish comfortably in mid-table can suddenly find themselves dragged into a battle they never anticipated.

A difficult season for the promoted clubs?

Our bottom four contains all four clubs we believe will spend significant periods worrying about relegation. Leeds United are our prediction to survive in 17th, but we expect the margin to be narrow.

Below them, we have Coventry City in 18th, Ipswich Town in 19th and Hull City finishing bottom of the Premier League. Promotion brings enormous momentum, but the step into the Premier League remains unforgiving. Squad depth, defensive organisation and the ability to take chances when they arrive become even more important against opponents capable of punishing almost every mistake.

We expect all three of our predicted relegated clubs to have moments when survival looks achievable, but over 38 matches we believe the established Premier League sides immediately above them will ultimately prove stronger.

Our Premier League 2026/27 prediction

Predicting an entire Premier League table before the season begins is always going to produce disagreements – and that is part of the point.

Transfers can transform squads, young players can emerge unexpectedly, managers can exceed expectations and injuries can completely alter the trajectory of a season. Our prediction represents how we rate the 20 clubs heading into the campaign.

Arsenal are our Premier League champions. Manchester City finish second, Manchester United third, while Coventry, Ipswich and Hull are our three teams to go down.
