We Compared Football Odds Across 147 Matches

Oddsfactory analysed 1,764 individual bookmaker prices across 147 football matches to find out which of four betting sites offered customers the best odds. The results produced a clear overall winner: Coolbet.

Finding the best odds can make a considerable difference to a bettor’s potential returns, but determining which bookmaker consistently offers the strongest prices requires more than comparing one match or looking at a handful of popular favourites.

Oddsfactory therefore conducted a large-scale comparison involving Coolbet, Epicbet, Casino Friday and UnionBet, using football odds published across our match previews.

The study covered 147 matches, 441 different 1X2 outcomes and 1,764 individual bookmaker prices, drawn from a wide range of football competitions and markets.

The sample included the Premier League, World Cup, Champions League and Europa League football, major European domestic leagues, Scandinavian football, lower-league English football and European qualifiers. And once all the numbers were analysed, Coolbet came out comfortably on top.

Coolbet offered more best prices than any other bookmaker

For each of the 441 home, draw and away selections, Oddsfactory identified the highest price available among the four bookmakers. Coolbet offered or shared the best available odds on 256 of the 441 selections – 58.0% of all outcomes tested. Epicbet recorded 152 best-price appearances, followed by UnionBet with 81 and Casino Friday with 72.

Coolbet dominated the best-price comparison, offering or sharing the highest odds on 256 of 441 football outcomes tested – a 58.0% hit rate.

Coolbet’s prices were, on average, only 1.20% below the market-leading price across the entire study. That includes all the occasions when another bookmaker offered the highest odds. Combined with Coolbet actually offering the best price on 256 selections, it suggests two things: Coolbet won extremely frequently, and even when it did not win, its price tended to remain close to the best available.

So, which bookmaker offered the best football odds?

No bookmaker was best on every selection. Epicbet’s performance on favourites is the clearest example of why bettors can still benefit from comparing individual prices. But once the entire dataset is considered, the overall result is difficult to dispute.

Coolbet by the numbers: the key findings from Oddsfactory’s comparison of 1,764 bookmaker prices across 147 football matches and 441 different outcomes.

Taken together, those figures make Coolbet the clear overall winner of Oddsfactory’s football odds comparison.

The result is particularly striking because the study was not restricted to one competition or one type of match. The sample covered everything from Premier League and World Cup fixtures to European club competitions, Scandinavian football, domestic leagues, cups and qualifiers.

Different bookmakers showed strengths in different areas, but across the complete sample, Coolbet offered the strongest combination of market-leading prices, competitive margins and consistently strong odds.

Coolbet also named Best Odds bookmaker in Bookmakertesten 2026

The results of Oddsfactory’s football odds comparison are not the first time Coolbet has performed strongly in a broader assessment of bookmakers.

Earlier in 2026, Oddsfactory served as the official sportsbook partner for Bookmakertesten 2026, taking responsibility for evaluating the betting products included in the test. The assessment looked beyond individual football prices, covering areas including odds, sports selection, user experience, bonuses and the overall sportsbook experience.

Coolbet ultimately finished first overall with 93 points out of 100, earning the title of Bookmaker of the Year 2026 as well as the separate Best Odds 2026 award.

The two studies should not be viewed as identical tests. Bookmakertesten evaluates the overall bookmaker proposition across a broad range of categories, while the Oddsfactory comparison in this article is based specifically on 1,764 recorded 1X2 football prices across 147 matches.

Nevertheless, the findings point in the same direction. Coolbet’s strong performance in the latest large-scale odds comparison provides further support for the competitive sportsbook pricing identified during the Bookmakertesten assessment.

How we conducted the test

Oddsfactory used the 1X2 bookmaker prices recorded in 147 football match previews, comparing Coolbet, Epicbet, Casino Friday and UnionBet.

Each match produced 12 individual bookmaker prices – home, draw and away odds from each of the four operators – creating 1,764 prices across 441 betting selections.

Esports were excluded because not all four bookmakers offered comparable markets. Matches without a complete four-bookmaker 1X2 comparison were also excluded, as were two markets containing clear pricing/data anomalies.

Best-price ties were counted for every bookmaker involved when measuring best-price appearances. A separate tie-adjusted calculation divided one point equally between bookmakers sharing the highest price.

The comparison represents the odds recorded by Oddsfactory at the time the individual match previews were prepared. It does not claim to represent every price offered by each bookmaker throughout the lifetime of each betting market.
