Vitality begin their ESL Pro League playoff campaign against a PARIVISION team that had to fight through two elimination matches to reach the quarter-finals. The tournament favourites enjoyed a much smoother path and will now look to move one step closer to another trophy.
Vitality reached the playoffs without defeat
Vitality won all three of their group-stage matches and secured direct qualification for the quarter-finals.
Their tournament began with a comfortable 2–0 victory over 1win. Dust2 was completely one-sided, with Vitality winning 13–1, before they completed the series on Cache.
The next two matches were more competitive. NAVI took Nuke from Vitality, while Falcons won the opening map of their series. Vitality responded on both occasions and won the deciding maps comfortably.
Those performances showed why Vitality remain so difficult to beat. Even when they lose a map or make a slow start, ZywOo, ropz and flameZ give them enough individual quality to change a series.
Vitality have also had several days to prepare for the quarter-final after securing their playoff place early. PARIVISION have played five matches since the start of the tournament and had little time to recover after their victory over NAVI.
PARIVISION survived two elimination matches
PARIVISION took the difficult route into the playoffs. They opened the tournament with a victory over Legacy before losing consecutive series against Spirit and FURIA.
Those defeats left them one result away from elimination, but they responded by beating G2 2–1. PARIVISION then faced NAVI in the final Swiss round and recovered from losing Inferno to win close games on Cache and Mirage.
FL1T and xiELO have provided much of their firepower, while Jame’s experience has helped the team remain calm during close matches.
PARIVISION have therefore earned their place in the quarter-finals. They have already beaten two strong opponents and also managed to take maps from Spirit and FURIA.
The concern is whether they can repeat that level against the best team in the tournament. Vitality punish mistakes more consistently than G2 or NAVI, and PARIVISION cannot afford another slow start.
Vitality have dominated this matchup
These teams have met twice during 2026, and Vitality won both matches without dropping a map.
The first meeting came in the PGL Cluj-Napoca final. Vitality won 3–0, taking Overpass 13–10, Dust2 13–4 and Inferno 16–13.
They met again one month later at BLAST Open Rotterdam, where Vitality recorded another clean victory. The two series have produced a combined map score of 5–0 in Vitality’s favour.
PARIVISION have improved since those defeats, but Vitality remain a difficult opponent for their map pool. PARIVISION regularly remove Nuke, while Vitality can still build the series around several maps where they hold a clear advantage.
Verdict
PARIVISION deserve respect after beating G2 and NAVI, but both victories required three maps. They now face a rested Vitality team that has already defeated them twice this year without losing a map.
Vitality dropped maps against NAVI and Falcons during the group stage, but their response in both series was convincing. They should also benefit from having more preparation time before the quarter-final.
PARIVISION may keep one of the maps competitive, but Vitality have the stronger individuals, the deeper map pool and an excellent record in this matchup. A 2–0 victory for the tournament favourites is the best choice.
