Nemiga face BET-M in the quarter-finals of Winline MPKBK CIS LAN Season 7 in Moscow. Nemiga enter the match on their strongest run of the season, while BET-M had to recover from an opening defeat to reach the playoffs.

Nemiga have won eight in a row

Nemiga have responded to their 2–1 defeat against K27 by winning eight consecutive matches. Six of those victories came without dropping a map.

The run includes 2–0 victories over Inner Circle, 1win, Just Players, SINNERS, Metizport and Young27, as well as a 3–0 win against B8. Several of those opponents are ranked considerably higher than BET-M.

Nemiga have also looked convincing on individual maps. They beat Just Players 13–6 on Ancient and 13–3 on Cache before defeating SINNERS 13–10 on both Cache and Mirage.

KaiR0N- has been one of their most important players, averaging a 1.20 rating and 84.8 damage per round during the past three months.

BET-M recovered in the lower bracket

BET-M began this tournament with a 2–0 defeat against Nemesis. That result followed losses against B8 and Nuclear TigeRES, giving them three defeats in a row.

They recovered by beating HyperSpace and Butterfly 2–0, but Nemiga are a clear step up in opposition. BET-M are ranked 77th by HLTV and 82nd in the Valve standings, while Nemiga sit 39th and 30th.

BET-M have won 46.4% of their matches during the past three months. Their two victories at this LAN deserve respect, but their recent record against stronger teams is far less convincing.

BET-M need the right veto

Anubis is Nemiga’s weakest map, with only one win from 11 attempts. BET-M have won four of their six matches there, but Nemiga should remove it immediately.

BET-M’s next-best opportunity is Nuke, where they hold a 64% win rate. Nemiga are also comfortable on the map, however, winning 62% of their last 13 attempts.

Nemiga hold stronger numbers on Cache, Dust2 and Mirage. Their 83% win rate on Mirage could become particularly important if the series reaches that map.

The previous meetings create some concern. Nemiga have beaten BET-M three times this year, but every series ended 2–1. BET-M managed to win Nuke twice and Anubis once.

Verdict

BET-M have previously found one map against Nemiga, but the current form suggests a more convincing result this time.

Nemiga have won eight consecutive matches and recorded six clean series during that run. They have beaten stronger opponents than BET-M and should remove Anubis, the map where the underdogs have their clearest advantage.

A normal Nemiga victory offers little value. We expect the favourites to control their own selection before finishing the match on BET-M’s map.
