FaZe and Nemiga meet in the upper-bracket quarter-final of Stake Ranked Episode 4. FaZe enter as favourites, but their recent results have been inconsistent enough to give Nemiga a realistic chance of taking this series to a deciding map.

FaZe remain difficult to trust

FaZe still have plenty of individual quality, but their results have not been convincing. The team have won nine of their last sixteen matches and continue to struggle with consistency.

Twistzz and frozen give FaZe experience and reliable firepower, while Neityu, JBOEN and jcobbb have shown that they can compete at this level. The problem has been producing strong performances across an entire series.

FaZe have recently played several close best-of-three matches. Their series against Spirit, The MongolZ and DENDELE CS all went to a third map, with FaZe winning their own pick but allowing their opponents back into the match.

That pattern is important here. FaZe should have a clear advantage on at least one map, but another comfortable 2–0 victory cannot be taken for granted.

Nemiga can challenge on their map pick

Nemiga are currently ranked outside the top 30, but this is not an easy opponent. Their lineup includes KaiR0N-, Xant3r, robo, khaN and syph0, with several players capable of producing strong individual performances.

KaiR0N- has been one of their most important players. His aggressive style can create openings, although it can also leave Nemiga vulnerable when the team loses the first duel.

Nemiga’s best chance will come through the veto. They need to select a map where their structure and preparation can reduce FaZe’s individual advantage. If they start well and build confidence, they have enough firepower to win their own pick.

The concern is whether Nemiga can stay competitive when FaZe increase the pace. Their results against stronger opposition have been mixed, and mistakes that go unpunished at a lower level will be costly here.

The map veto could create a close series

FaZe are favourites to win the match, but the moneyline offers limited value when they have been so inconsistent. FaZe -1.5 maps is also difficult to support because it requires a clean 2–0 victory.

Over 2.5 maps looks more interesting at odds around 1.90. The bet wins if both teams take one of the opening two maps and the series reaches a decider.

FaZe should be able to control their own selection, especially if they avoid experimenting in the veto. Nemiga will then have an opportunity on their preferred map, where they can prepare specifically for FaZe’s current lineup.

The difference in quality is clear, but FaZe have not looked dominant enough to make a quick 2–0 the obvious result. Their recent series have included several lost map picks and slow starts.

Nemiga do not need to win the match for this bet to land. They only need one strong map.

FaZe can win after three maps

A Nemiga victory would still be an upset. FaZe have more experience, stronger individual players and more ways to adjust if the opening maps do not go as planned.

However, this version of FaZe has rarely made things simple. They can look impressive on one map before struggling on the next, which makes the 2–1 scoreline more appealing than a clean sweep.

Nemiga should arrive with a clear plan for their own selection. If KaiR0N- and Xant3r start well, they can put FaZe under enough pressure to extend the series.

Verdict

FaZe deserve to be favourites and should eventually win the match, but their inconsistency makes a 2–0 difficult to trust.

Nemiga have enough quality to compete on their map pick, while FaZe should respond strongly on their own selection. A 2–1 victory for FaZe looks like the most likely outcome.
