The 2026/27 EFL League One season is officially underway, with another exciting campaign set to begin across one of English football's most competitive divisions.

This marks the 35th season of the league in its current format and the 23rd under the EFL League One name. With promotion to the Championship, the race for the play-offs and the battle to avoid relegation all at stake, League One once again promises drama from the opening weekend through to the final round of fixtures.

Seven new clubs join the division for the 2026/27 season. Bromley, Milton Keynes Dons, Cambridge United and Notts County have all earned promotion from League Two, while Oxford United, Leicester City and Sheffield Wednesdayarrive following relegation from the Championship.
