Luminosity and 3DMAX meet in the best-of-five final of Logitech G Play Connect 2026. Luminosity have won four matches in a row and reached the final without dropping a map in the playoffs, while 3DMAX had to come from behind against Inner Circle in their semi-final.
Luminosity have found their best form
Luminosity entered the playoffs after an inconsistent group stage, but their performances have improved since the tournament moved into longer series.
They first beat BBL 2–0 in the quarter-final, winning 13–9 on Nuke and 13–5 on Mirage. Luminosity then produced an even better performance against B8, who had gone unbeaten during the group stage.
B8 had defeated Luminosity 13–11 on Dust2 earlier in the tournament, but the rematch was far more convincing. Luminosity won 13–10 on Inferno before closing the series with a 13–9 victory on Ancient.
The new international lineup appears to be improving with each match. lux provides leadership, while Rainwaker, AZUWU, afro and yxngstxr give the team several players capable of deciding important rounds.
Luminosity have now beaten B8, BBL, Ninjas in Pyjamas and M80 in their last four matches.
3DMAX recovered against Inner Circle
3DMAX reached the final with a 2–1 victory against Inner Circle, but the French team made a poor start to the semi-final.
Inner Circle controlled Ancient and won the opening map 13–7. With no room for another mistake, 3DMAX responded by winning 13–8 on Dust2 before dominating the deciding map on Cache.
The final map ended 13–3, with 3DMAX winning ten consecutive rounds after Inner Circle had taken an early 3–0 lead. That finish showed how dangerous the French side can be once Maka, Lucky, Graviti, misutaaa and Kursy establish control of a match.
There are still questions about their consistency. They struggled throughout Ancient and needed time to settle into the series, something they may not be able to afford against a Luminosity team playing with confidence.
The best-of-five format changes the matchup
The final will be played as a best-of-five, meaning both teams will be tested across a much larger part of the map pool.
Luminosity are likely to remove Anubis, while 3DMAX have regularly avoided Mirage. That would leave Dust2, Inferno, Nuke, Ancient and Cache available for the series.
Dust2 is one of the strongest options for 3DMAX, while their comeback against Inner Circle also showed what they can do on Cache. Luminosity should feel more comfortable on Inferno and Ancient after beating B8 on both maps.
The longer format gives 3DMAX more opportunities to use their experience and deeper map pool. Luminosity have still looked like the better team during the playoffs and have shown that they can win on several different maps.
Verdict
This should be a closer match than Luminosity’s two previous playoff series.
3DMAX showed their experience by recovering against Inner Circle, and a best-of-five final should suit the French team better than a shorter series. They have enough quality to take at least one map and put Luminosity under pressure.
Luminosity enter the final with better momentum, however. Their new lineup has started to settle, and the 2–0 victory over B8 was their strongest performance of the tournament.
If Luminosity maintain that level across the longer series, they should complete their run with another victory. A 3–1 result looks realistic.
Tip
Luminosity to win
