Bayern München welcome Union Berlin to the Allianz Arena on Friday evening. The defending champions have collected seven points from their opening three Bundesliga matches, while Union arrive with only one point.

Bayern creating plenty of chances

Union face a difficult evening

Union Berlin have collected only one point from their first three league matches and travel to Munich with several players unavailable.

Their record against Bayern offers little encouragement. The clubs have met 15 times, with Bayern winning ten and the remaining five ending level. Union are still waiting for their first victory in this fixture.

The visitors will probably defend deep and attempt to keep the score close, but that becomes increasingly difficult if Bayern find an early goal.

Verdict

Bayern created enough chances to beat Elversberg by a larger margin and should be stronger with their regular starters returning.

The requirement of at least five goals makes this an aggressive selection, but Bayern have already scored five against Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena. Against an Union side with one point and several absences, another one-sided home victory is possible.
